We started BolsterPup after noticing the same complaint everywhere dog owners talk: beds marketed as "waterproof" that let moisture soak into the foam within weeks, and "orthopedic" beds with no real bolster support for dogs who need to lean or brace themselves getting up.
The more we looked, the more we saw the same problem outside of beds too: ramps and stairs that flex or slide instead of holding steady, feeders and gear that ignore how much harder every physical task gets for a dog with arthritis, hip dysplasia, or a healing joint.
So we set a simple bar before anything makes it into our shop: it has to hold up to what it claims, not just look good in a product photo, and it has to genuinely make daily life easier for a senior, recovering, or arthritic dog. Waterproof means the liner actually keeps moisture out, not just resists a light spill. Supportive means the bolster, the step height, or the traction actually does the job.
If a product doesn't clear that bar, we don't carry it. That's the whole business.
